What’s the best way to cut sugar cookie fudge into slices?

To ensure clean slices, it’s crucial to allow the fudge to solidify for at least 2 hours. Once it’s set, use a large, sharp chef’s knife rather than a serrated one, and apply firm, downward pressure when cutting. Avoid using a sawing motion, as this can result in uneven slices. For precise slices, consider using a ruler as a guide.

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1:         (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2: 1/4   c. white chocolate chips
  • 1: 1/2   c. sugar cookie mix
  • 2:         tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1/4:      tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 ½:     c. crushed sugar or shortbread cookies (4 oz.)
  • 1/2:      c. confetti sprinkles, divided
  • 2:         tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the 9-inch square baking dish by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying it with cooking spray.
  1. Step 2: In a medium saucepan, heat the sweetened condensed milk over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent scorching, until hot. Add the white chocolate chips and stir until melted for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the cookie mix, butter, and salt until smooth; then remove the mixture from the heat. Fold in the cookies, ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons of sprinkles, and vanilla.

  1. Step 3: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Sprinkle the remaining 2 tablespoons of sprinkles on top and allow it to set up completely in the refrigerator before slicing for at least 2 hours.

Tip: Change up the holiday with different colored sprinkles so that everybody can enjoy sugar cookie fudge year-round!
